I am sure a lot of you are familiar with the redundancy because you have faced these zillion times because of your familiarity with essay writing. Redundancy is my worst enemy because it makes the content less professional. One option that you can avail of is the hiring of an academic essay writer servicethat often provides such services to students and plays an important role in acquiring good grades.
It’s alright to make redundant mistakes but it’s not right to make them even after knowing!!!
Why should redundancy and repetition be avoided?
Well, first of all, nobody wants to read the same content again and again. People might get sick of it and in the case of professors, they might give you the grade you never want in your life. Again, your material should have something new and not the same clutter of thoughts that nobody would want to read. Sometimes it can be difficult to write an essay and, in such cases, you can always hire an essay writing serviceto assist you in your task. It would save you from a lot of hassles and you can get a perfect essay written by a professional essay writer.
So, that is why it is recommended to avoid redundancy and repetition.
When I was in school, I had to write an essay but I couldn’t because I wasn’t ready to write an essay so I asked my friend, who was very good at writing, to write my essay. She helped with my assignment but then, when the feedback came, my mind was blown.
Not because my professor was mad at me for writing a poorly structured essay but I thought she was good at writing. That was the first time I got to know about redundancy and repetition and how these both things ruin an essay.
How do I know my text is redundant?
There are few examples such as “cannot, did not think, alright, get it done with it” and so on.
There are some rules that one has to follow in academic writing or else, it does not give the professional outlook.
Avoiding the usage of double negative
It is the basic concept but there are some places where the double negatives can be used but most of the time, double negatives are confusing. The sentence will be concise when you avoid using them. Some of the examples are, “did not”, “cannot”, “nobody”, nothing, etc.
Make sure you avoid the above-mentioned examples, as it breaks the flow of your reader and he/she might get bored or distracted. Ask any essay writer and they might help with it by providing you, a sample for your better understanding. Don’t worry it is not that hard to grasp the concept.
Beware of Pleonasm
This happens when the term repeats itself. For example, if you say, “I was working up late until 12 midnight”. If you only say, “I was working up late until midnight” that would be enough. There is no need to add an extra word that implies the same meaning or action.
Another example that I want to state here is, “I saw it with my own eyes” instead of saying, “I saw everything”. It is already established that you have seen everything so adding,” with my own eyes” is redundant.
Using Abbreviations
This is also a common mistake that many students commit but it’s alright because people learn from mistakes. For example, if you write a CPU unit when CPU already stands for the central processing unit. Writing “HIV virus” when V already stands for the virus is a common mistake. Be careful with abbreviations.
Use Intensifiers where needed
Students need to understand when to use intensifiers. Intensifiers are usually words like extremely, very, and severely. You don’t have to integrate them in each sentence or even in paragraphs. Only use where there is an appropriate place for them.
They are not needed most of the time but still, students use them to sound like they know what they are writing.
Language Origin
This is one of the important tips regarding language origin. You must be aware of the origin of the language. If you write “25th year anniversary” when the anniversary is derived from annum, a Latin word. Writing the 25th anniversary should suffice.
Unnecessary Phrases.
Including unnecessary phrases such as, “in order to do that”, or “as a matter of fact” will only increase the length of the sentence. Try to be concise but make sure that your message is conveyed.
I mean dragging the sentence will only create a bad impression, your sentence should appear shorter but is to the point.
These tips will only work if you pay close attention to them and practice writing essays without redundancy and errors. If the problem persists, seek help from an essay writing service and ask them to write an error-free essay for you. Many websites do that and if you ask for samples, that would surely help you.
Some key points to remember
Always stick to the “less is more” rule. This is your test to ensure how you shorten the sentence without erasing the entire message. You have to work your way around it to learn this skill. It’s better to look for other important information rather than dragging and repeating the same thing.
I know students find it hard at first but after some time, they can learn the difference and do not need proofreading because they already can identify their mistakes.
Whenever you want to restate points at some point it is necessary because that’s how readers will get along. In that case, only refer to key variables or themes of your essay.
You don’t have to restate the several points. Use variation in your language/vocabulary and try to bring a change in your style.
That’s it for the tips and tricks that I wanted to share with you guys. Don’t be disheartened if you get a C or D on your essays. Just strive to get better because that’s progress in true essence.
